Dr. Sampoorna Velineni Named Medical Director

Contentnea Health CEO Melissa Torres announced today that Dr. Sampoorna “Dr. Sami” Velineni is stepping into the role of medical director, effective today.

“Dr. Sami has made a tremendous impact over the past decade as a dedicated member of our organization, most recently serving at Contentnea Health Diabetology,” said Mrs. Torres. “Dr. Sami’s unwavering commitment to advancing patient care shines throughout her impressive academic and professional journey.”

Dr. Velineni earned her medical degree at Sri Venkateswara Medical College in India in January 2006, and completed her residency in family medicine at the Brody School of Medicine, East Carolina University in Greenville, N.C., in June 2015. Most recently, she finished a diabetology fellowship at ECU in June 2021.

Dr. Velineni is board-certified in both family medicine and diabetology.
